Discipleship

Every Christian should go through some form of discipleship

Salvation is the miracle of a moment. Discipleship is the journey of a lifetime.

Take a 14-week, one-on-one journey with another Christian as you explore the major doctrines of the Bible and learn what it means to be a committed follower of Jesus. Know what you beleive, why you believe it, where to find it in the Bible, how to live it out and how to pass it on to someone else. Discipleship is an integral part of the Christian life. Every Christian should go through some form of discipleship.

Biblical Doctrine: Understanding the fundamental beliefs of Christianity is crucial. This includes the nature of God, the person and work of Jesus Christ, the role of the Holy Spirit, the significance of the cross and resurrection, salvation, grace, and the authority of the Bible.

Personal Faith: Discipleship encourages you to reflect on your personal relationship with Jesus. It's not just about head knowledge but also heart knowledge—experiencing and responding to God's love and grace personally.

Biblical Literacy: Knowing where to find support for beliefs in the Bible is essential for grounding our faith in Scripture. This involves regular reading, study, and meditation on God's Word.

Application: Learning to live out Christian beliefs in everyday life is a sign of growth. This includes practicing spiritual disciplines such as prayer, worship, and service, and applying biblical principles to decisions and relationships.

Mentorship: The one-on-one aspect of the program allows for personalized guidance, accountability, and support from a more mature believer. This relationship is vital for encouragement and growth.

Evangelism and Disciple-Making: A key outcome of discipleship is the ability to share one's faith with others and to disciple them in turn. This perpetuates the cycle of growth and ensures the continuation of the faith community.

Community: While the journey might start one-on-one, it should ideally lead to deeper integration into the Christian community, where believers can support and edify one another.

Commitment: Discipleship requires a commitment to the process. It's a lifelong journey of learning, growing, and becoming more like Christ.

Transformation: The ultimate goal of discipleship is transformation—a change in character and actions to reflect Christ more clearly in the world.
