How we preach
Expository Bible teaching, verse by verse
We don't take a Bible-ish thought and talk story. We take a portion of Scripture, dissect it, and apply it to our lives.

What is expository preaching?
Expository preaching explains what a passage of the Bible says and means, then shows how it applies to life today. The text sets the agenda. Instead of choosing a topic and looking for verses to support it, we start with the passage and let it say what God intended it to say.
So they read in the book in the law of God distinctly, and gave the sense, and caused them to understand the reading.Nehemiah 8:8
Book by book
At Huikala we preach through whole books of the Bible, one passage at a time. That means we preach the parts we'd naturally choose and the parts we'd naturally skip. Over time a church family hears the whole counsel of God, and learns how to read the Bible for themselves.

We believe God not only inspired every word of Scripture but has preserved it, and we use the King James Version for our preaching and teaching. Read what we believe.
