Breaking Free Through Generosity
Jordaan Salas· March 23, 2025
2 Corinthians 9:6-8
0:0042:51
“But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully.”
2 Corinthians 9:6
Generosity breaks us free from selfishness by redirecting our heart and treasures to God.
Generosity overcomes selfishness by fostering trust in God over ourselves.
This is a Spiritual Law that God has promised. You reap in proportion to what you sow.
There is that scattereth, and yet increaseth; and there is that withholdeth more than is meet, but it tendeth to poverty.Proverbs 11:24
Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.Galatians 6:7
Generosity overcomes selfishness by transforming unwillingness into joyful giving.
Jesus found joy in giving His life on the cross, and we can share that joy by giving back to God.
Generosity overcomes selfishness by cultivating trust in God’s provision over our own.
Find a time this week to be generous and see how God blesses you.
When your heart is pointed to the cross, you will always have joy when giving.
Just focus on being generous and watch God provide for you when you need it.
6But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully. 7Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver. 8And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work: 2 Corinthians 9:6-8
