Taking Back the Next Generation

Deuteronomy 31:1-13
“And Moses went and spake these words unto all Israel.”
Deuteronomy 31:1
We’ve gone from a perversion of God’s Word to an outright attack, that has planted doubt in the very existence of God, on the next generation.
ENCOURAGE: To give courage to; to give or increase confidence of success; to inspire with courage, spirit, or strength of mind; to embolden; to animate; to incite; to inspirit.
ADMONISH: To warn or notify of a fault; to reprove with mildness. To counsel against wrong practices; to caution or advise. To instruct or direct.
Teach the next generation that God will go before us.
God has already handled what is coming ahead of us.
Does what you’re about to do honor God?
For ye shall not go out with haste, nor go by flight: for the LORD will go before you; and the God of Israel will be your rereward.Isaiah 52:12
Teach the next generation that God is with us.
The presence of God is always with us.
Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?1 Corinthians 3:16
Is there something in your life that’s shadowing the fact that God will always be with you?
Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.Hebrews 13:5
For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.Romans 8:38-39
Teach the next generation that We will be amongst this world, but we must remember His word.
God’s word will always be our guide.
Will the world snatch you up? Or will your foundation in the Word make even the most deceptive lies look like foolishness?
When your relationship with God is lacking, your heart begins to make lies look true.
One time isn’t enough.
If we are not consistent in showing and teaching the next generation how to conduct them themselves Gods way, the world will teach them their way.
Teach the next generation We must hear and learn to fear God.
The introduction of who God is to the next generation, begins with us.
We can share our testimony and get the gospel to someone, but We must learn to fear God first before we can guide the next generation.
Not your ideas, not just your experiences but truth founded in God’s word.
I write not these things to shame you, but as my beloved sons I warn you. For though ye have ten thousand instructers in Christ, yet have ye not many fathers: for in Christ Jesus I have begotten you through the gospel. Wherefore I beseech you, be ye followers of me.1 Corinthians 4:14-16
Who is Jesus to you?
Why do you think God made you?
How do you think God wants to be glorified in your life?
What are some areas you think you could grow in your walk?
Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
We have a responsibility to teach the next generation the truth through Jesus to a real deal relationship with God.
Will you invest in the next generation?
1And Moses went and spake these words unto all Israel. 2And he said unto them, I am an hundred and twenty years old this day; I can no more go out and come in: also the LORD hath said unto me, Thou shalt not go over this Jordan. 3The LORD thy God, he will go over before thee, and he will destroy these nations from before thee, and thou shalt possess them: and Joshua, he shall go over before thee, as the LORD hath said. 4And the LORD shall do unto them as he did to Sihon and to Og, kings of the Amorites, and unto the land of them, whom he destroyed. 5And the LORD shall give them up before your face, that ye may do unto them according unto all the commandments which I have commanded you. 6Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the LORD thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee. 7And Moses called unto Joshua, and said unto him in the sight of all Israel, Be strong and of a good courage: for thou must go with this people unto the land which the LORD hath sworn unto their fathers to give them; and thou shalt cause them to inherit it. 8And the LORD, he it is that doth go before thee; he will be with thee, he will not fail thee, neither forsake thee: fear not, neither be dismayed. 9And Moses wrote this law, and delivered it unto the priests the sons of Levi, which bare the ark of the covenant of the LORD, and unto all the elders of Israel. 10And Moses commanded them, saying, At the end of every seven years, in the solemnity of the year of release, in the feast of tabernacles, 11When all Israel is come to appear before the LORD thy God in the place which he shall choose, thou shalt read this law before all Israel in their hearing. 12Gather the people together, men, and women, and children, and thy stranger that is within thy gates, that they may hear, and that they may learn, and fear the LORD your God, and observe to do all the words of this law: 13And that their children, which have not known any thing, may hear, and learn to fear the LORD your God, as long as ye live in the land whither ye go over Jordan to possess it. Deuteronomy 31:1-13
