Trust in the Lord: Part II
Psalm 37:1-5 VISION NIGHT January 15, 2023
God wants to grow Huikala’s faith this year.
To do this He requires unconditional surrender.
We can trust Him.
He is trustworthy.
Faithful is he that calleth you, who also will do it.1 Thessalonians 5:24
Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him.Proverbs 30:5
He will never fail.
My flesh and my heart faileth: but God is the strength of my heart, and my portion for ever.Psalm 73:26
Our lack of faith will limit what God desires to do.
And he could there do no mighty work, save that he laid his hands upon a few sick folk, and healed them. And he marvelled because of their unbelief. And he went round about the villages, teaching.Mark 6:5-6
Our lack of stewardship will limit what God desires to do.
Then he which had received the one talent came and said, Lord, I knew thee that thou art an hard man, reaping where thou hast not sown, and gathering where thou hast not strawed: And I was afraid, and went and hid thy talent in the earth: lo, there thou hast that is thine. His lord answered and said unto him, Thou wicked and slothful servant, thou knewest that I reap where I sowed not, and gather where I have not strawed: Thou oughtest therefore to have put my money to the exchangers, and then at my coming I should have received mine own with usury. Take therefore the talent from him, and give it unto him which hath ten talents. For unto every one that hath shall be given, and he shall have abundance: but from him that hath not shall be taken away even that which he hath.Matthew 25:24-29
We have what we need to accomplish the work.
Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,Ephesians 3:20
Commitment doesn’t feel like commitment when it is our delight.
Trust is easier when your heart is fixed.
1A Psalm of David. Fret not thyself because of evildoers, neither be thou envious against the workers of iniquity. 2For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, and wither as the green herb. 3Trust in the LORD, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed. 4Delight thyself also in the LORD; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart. 5Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass. Psalm 37:1-5
