Ephesians 5:15-17
15See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, 16Redeeming the time, because the days are evil. 17Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is. Ephesians 5:15-17
Sermon notes
A life that counts is walked carefully, not stumbled into.
Nobody accidentally leaves a legacy worth following.
Ponder the path of thy feet, and let all thy ways be established.Proverbs 4:26
The fool never asks where his steps are actually taking him.
The wisdom of the prudent is to understand his way: but the folly of fools is deceit.Proverbs 14:8
Every day you spend is a day you can’t spend again.
Your days are numbered and God says to count them on purpose.
So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom.Psalm 90:12
Your life is a vapor, so stop living like tomorrow is guaranteed.
Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away.James 4:14
The days are evil, so a wasted life doesn’t stay neutral for long.
The enemy is fine with you being busy as long as you’re never fruitful.
Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:1 Peter 5:8
What you tolerate in your ordinary days is what your life will eventually become.
Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.Galatians 6:7
A life that lasts is a life lived in the will of God.
God isn’t hiding His will from you, He gives wisdom to anyone who asks.
If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.James 1:5
Only what’s done in obedience to God outlasts you.
And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.1 John 2:17
Look honestly at where last week actually went.
Take one hour back this week and give it to God.
Cut the thing that’s eating your life without giving you anything back.
Pick one person and start pouring into them.
