The series
A Study of the Book of Philippians
According to my earnest expectation and my hope, that in nothing I shall be ashamed, but that with all boldness, as always, so now also Christ shall be magnified in my body, whether it be by life, or by death. For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.Philippians 1:20-21
Jesus gave the church its mission.
Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.Matthew 28:19-20
Go • Win • Baptize • Teach
Our mission is to take the Gospel to the world.
And said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behoved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day: And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem. And ye are witnesses of these things.Luke 24:46-48

But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judæa, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.Acts 1:8

When it comes to personal evangelism or world evangelization, our only options are obedience or disobedience.
For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher? And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!Romans 10:13-15
Three Ways to Get Involved in Reaching the World
Pray
Pray for those around the world sharing Jesus.
Withal praying also for us, that God would open unto us a door of utterance, to speak the mystery of Christ, for which I am also in bonds:Colossians 4:3
Pray for opportunities to share your faith.
Finally, brethren, pray for us, that the word of the Lord may have free course, and be glorified, even as it is with you:2 Thessalonians 3:1
Give
Give regularly through your tithes and offerings to reach our city.
Give regularly through your church to support global mission projects.
Moreover, brethren, we do you to wit of the grace of God bestowed on the churches of Macedonia; How that in a great trial of affliction the abundance of their joy and their deep poverty abounded unto the riches of their liberality. For to their power, I bear record, yea, and beyond their power they were willing of themselves; Praying us with much intreaty that we would receive the gift, and take upon us the fellowship of the ministering to the saints.2 Corinthians 8:1-4
Give of yourself to support or encourage the work of global mission projects.
Go.
Be willing to go as a missionary to your city, your street, your workplace or your family. Missions begins at home.
Be surrendered and submitted to drop everything and answer the call to take the Gospel elsewhere.
Stay yielded, live simply and begin preparations to live a missions-minded life.
World evangelization is about obedience.
World evangelization is about the glory of God.
World evangelization is about love for our fellow man.
World evangelization is about having people in Heaven because of you.
14Notwithstanding ye have well done, that ye did communicate with my affliction. 15Now ye Philippians know also, that in the beginning of the gospel, when I departed from Macedonia, no church communicated with me as concerning giving and receiving, but ye only. 16For even in Thessalonica ye sent once and again unto my necessity. 17Not because I desire a gift: but I desire fruit that may abound to your account. 18But I have all, and abound: I am full, having received of Epaphroditus the things which were sent from you, an odour of a sweet smell, a sacrifice acceptable, wellpleasing to God. 19But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus. 20Now unto God and our Father be glory for ever and ever. Amen. 21Salute every saint in Christ Jesus. The brethren which are with me greet you. 22All the saints salute you, chiefly they that are of Caesar’s household. 23The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen. Philippians 4:14-23
