Mark 16:1

The resurrection of Jesus is the ultimate triumph over death and despair.
The angel’s proclamation, “He is risen; he is not here,” assures us that death has been defeated through Jesus’ power.
Knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more; death hath no more dominion over him.Romans 6:9
The empty tomb proves that Jesus has conquered sin and offers eternal life to all who believe in Him.
Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?John 11:25-26
The resurrection brings a call to action for believers to share the good news.
The instruction to “go, tell his disciples and Peter” reminds us that the Gospel must be proclaimed boldly to all people.
Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.Matthew 28:19-20
Jesus’ promise to meet His disciples in Galilee demonstrates His continued presence with His followers, empowering them for their mission.
But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judæa, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.Acts 1:8
The resurrection transforms fear into faith and courage.
Though they initially fled in fear, their encounter with Jesus turned them into bold witnesses of His glory.
For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.2 Timothy 1:7
Jesus’ resurrection assures us that no obstacle, not even fear or doubt, can prevent God’s plan for redemption.
Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.Isaiah 41:10
The resurrection is an invitation to experience new life in Christ.
Jesus commands His followers to believe and be baptized, promising salvation and a new life for all who trust in Him.
Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.2 Corinthians 5:17
Signs accompanying believers, such as healing and restoration, testify to the transformative power of the risen Lord.
Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.John 14:12
Embrace the victory of Jesus over sin and death by living a life of hope and joy.
Share the good news boldly with everyone you can.
Allow God to transform your fears into faith as you walk in obedience to Him.
Live out your new life in Christ by serving others and showing His love to the world.
1And when the sabbath was past, Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James, and Salome, had bought sweet spices, that they might come and anoint him. 2And very early in the morning the first day of the week, they came unto the sepulchre at the rising of the sun. 3And they said among themselves, Who shall roll us away the stone from the door of the sepulchre? 4And when they looked, they saw that the stone was rolled away: for it was very great. 5And entering into the sepulchre, they saw a young man sitting on the right side, clothed in a long white garment; and they were affrighted. 6And he saith unto them, Be not affrighted: Ye seek Jesus of Nazareth, which was crucified: he is risen; he is not here: behold the place where they laid him. 7But go your way, tell his disciples and Peter that he goeth before you into Galilee: there shall ye see him, as he said unto you. 8And they went out quickly, and fled from the sepulchre; for they trembled and were amazed: neither said they any thing to any man; for they were afraid. 9Now when Jesus was risen early the first day of the week, he appeared first to Mary Magdalene, out of whom he had cast seven devils. 10And she went and told them that had been with him, as they mourned and wept. 11And they, when they had heard that he was alive, and had been seen of her, believed not. 12After that he appeared in another form unto two of them, as they walked, and went into the country. 13And they went and told it unto the residue: neither believed they them. 14Afterward he appeared unto the eleven as they sat at meat, and upbraided them with their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they believed not them which had seen him after he was risen. 15And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. Mark 16:1-15
