The Gospel for The Nations

The Jews had been especially blessed by God.

Rather than be grateful for God’s blessing, they had adopted an attitude of superiority.

Then saith the woman of Samaria unto him, How is it that thou, being a Jew, askest drink of me, which am a woman of Samaria? for the Jews have no dealings with the Samaritans.John 4:9

Jews had become prejudiced toward non-Jews.

And he said unto them, Ye know how that it is an unlawful thing for a man that is a Jew to keep company, or come unto one of another nation; but God hath shewed me that I should not call any man common or unclean.Acts 10:28

The Jews had concluded that God was their God, not the God of the Gentiles.

God is not a God of one group, but is the God of all and over all.

For though there be that are called gods, whether in heaven or in earth, (as there be gods many, and lords many,) But to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him.1 Corinthians 8:5-6

Whether Jew or Gentile, the Gospel is about salvation in Jesus by faith alone.

Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law.Romans 3:28

What is the Gospel?

God, Man, Jesus, Response

America has been especially blessed by God.

Americans have become indifferent toward the need of the Gospel.

Christianity is not a Western, American religion, but good news to the nations.

And said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behoved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day: And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem. And ye are witnesses of these things.Luke 24:46-48

Errors of Viewing Scripture through the Lens of America.

America becomes Israel.

America becomes the chosen people of God.

America becomes the source of our hope rather than Christ.

America becomes our defender rather than God.

God loves America and Americans more than the other 7.5 billion people on the planet.

Christianity gets lumped in with political parties, candidates and loses its true purpose.

We have a Gospel that our neighbor desperately needs.

We have a Gospel that the world desperately needs.

God is calling. Who will answer?

Therefore said he unto them, The harvest truly is great, but the labourers are few: pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he would send forth labourers into his harvest.Luke 10:2

The time is now.

Say not ye, There are yet four months, and then cometh harvest? behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest.John 4:35
